PROCESSOR SPEED:
• Pentium-class 75 MHz minimum (166 MHz or higher recommended,
required for Windows 2000)
• PowerPC, iMac 100 MHz minimum (166 MHz or higher recommended)
OTHER:
• CD-ROM
• Available IRQ interrupt port
• SVGA screen with 256 colors
• 64 MB RAM
• 90 MB free hard drive space
• Cable outlet within five feet of computer (additional
outlet work may incur additional charges)
• 1 available electrical outlet near computer for cable
modem (existing computer needs are not included)
• Working Ethernet connection with RJ45 connector, or
USB connection. (Thames Valley
Communications will install a fully operational Network Interface
Card (NIC) if your computer does not already have one)
• TCP/IP communications stack software installed. TVC
will only install, service, and support a connection on a
stand alone computer not connected to a home network, at the
time of installation.
Operating System installation CDs or diskettes must be available
for the service installation.

CABLE MODEM INSTALLATION:
Thames Valley Communications will completely install a Motorola
Surfboard Cable Modem in your home for you to begin using
($50 to purchase this modem or $3 per month to rent it), including
a fully operational Network Interface Card (NIC) if your computer
does not already have one. If you are using your own modem,
it must be Docsis compliant modem to work.
