The Band High Times Featured
Next at Concerts in the Park 2012
GROTON – Concerts in the Park 2012 will feature the band High Times,
Friday (July 6, 2012) at Washington Park in the City of Groton. The band, one
of the most popular musical groups in Southeastern Connecticut, will be playing
swing, rhythm, blues and 60s Motown.
Concerts are free and start at 6:30 p.m. The concert series is co-
sponsored and co-produced by Groton Utilities and the City of Groton Parks
and Recreation Department.
The performers and dates for the remaining summer concerts are:
Special 20, July 13; 9Teen, July 20; Coastline Swing Band, July 27; and
The Cartels, August 10. The Rewind concert has been rescheduled for Friday,
August 24. The is no concert on City of Groton Day, Friday, August 3.

Food is available on site. The Groton Babe Ruth League sells food and
drink as a fund raiser.
The concerts are designed to be especially appealing to families for a fun,
inexpensive night out. Spectators are encouraged to bring their families and
perhaps a picnic supper. The concert site also has sufficient room on the
basketball court for dancing.
