Unable to login?
Web Mail requires that cookies be enabled. If you login without any trouble, then you already have the proper security settings in place. However, if you are not able to login, it may be that cookies are disabled in Internet Explorer. To create the proper security
setting:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. From the Internet Explorer Menu bar, choose Tools: Internet Options. The Internet Options dialog box opens.
3. Click the Privacy tab at the top of the dialog box. The privacy settings are displayed.
4. Ensure that the settings are at set to a maximum of “Medium High,” which will still block cookies from third parties, but will allow you full access to Web Mail. A higher setting will prevent you from being able to login to Web Mail; a lower setting might expose you to security risks. Click OK.
6. Attempt to login to Web Mail again. If you are still unable to login, it may be an issue of your user name or password. Please contact the Help Desk at 446-4009 if you need further help.
I'm getting Syntax errors when sending e-mails?
You have logged in without typing in your full e-mail address. Log out and log back in using your FULL e-mail address, ex....***@tvcconnect.net.
Why do I sometimes get a "Mail Maintenance Operations - Confirmation" window when I log in?
Email takes up space on the mail server file systems. Let the maintenance window be your reminder that your email needs to be managed. The maintenance window can perform some common maintenance tasks such as empty your trash folder and age/remove old sent mail folders. You can change the intervals at which these steps are performed within the "Options" menu. If you always "Skip maintenance" and just let your email accumulate you will eventually get a warning message that your quota has been exceeded. At that point you must remove some mail from your account or it will be unable to receive any more new mail messages.
How can I stop the Maintenace Window from opening each time I login?
Under Global Options / Login Tasks uncheck 'Perform maintenance operations on login'.
Click Save Options.
