What is a Whitelist?
The whitelist is a list of (legitimate) email addresses that you always wish to see in your INBOX. Each address should be entered on a separate line.

What is a Blacklist?
A Blicklist is a list of email addresses that you never wish to see in your INBOX. The action box defines what to do when a message from a blocked sender is sent to you. The possible values are "delete" or "move to folder". If "delete" is selected, the messages will be discarded before ever being stored in your Inbox. If "move to folder" is selected, they will be delivered to the selected folder.

How do I create a new filter?
Filters can be created based on anything that is found in the header of an email. The most common type of filtering is by sender, date or size of an email. Here are the steps you would take to filter email from your Inbox into a specified folder.

Creating a Destination Folder
When creating a filter, you must first determine where you would like the filtered email to go. In some cases, you will already have a folder created, but other times, you will need to create a folder for the email. To create a folder:
1. From the Toolbar, click . The Folders page is displayed.
Folders icon
2. Click the down arrow in the “Choose Action” drop down box.
3. Choose Create Folder. A dialog box is displayed in which you can enter the name of the folder.
4. Enter a name for the folder, and then click OK. A note will appear at the top of the screen confirming that the folder was successfully created. If the folder is not immediately visible, click Refresh. The folder should be displayed.

Once the folder is ready to accept email, you can create the filter.
1. Click the Filters button on the toolbar. The Filters page is displayed.
2. Click Edit Filters Rules. The Filter Rule page is displayed.
3. Click New Rule. Type a name for the rule that will make sense to you in the future.
4. For more specific filtering, select, the All of the Following radio button. Filtering options will be displayed.
5. Click the down arrow in the Select a field drop down box and select the wanted category the you wish to target (ie., From, To, Body...).
6. Leave “Contains” selected in the next drop down box.
7. Type the name of the sender or keyword in the next box.
8. In the “Do This” drop down box, click the down arrow and select “Deliver to Folder:” The Select Target Folder box appears.
9. In the Select Target Folder drop-down box, select the folder you created for the filter.
10 Click Save.
